Maintain a healthy reproductive system and breasts with the expertise of trusted gynaecologist Dr Pieta Geyser – in private practice for over 25 years
Most women with a healthy reproductive system and breasts generally remain disease-free and fertile for much of their lives.
However, the demanding careers and fast-paced lifestyles of women in modern times leave them with less time and energy to care for themselves.
Harmful stress levels, a hormonal imbalance, an unbalanced diet, a lack of exercise, unhealthy habits (tobacco, alcohol, or drugs), being overweight, a lack of sleep, and unwholesome sexual activities can all cause diseases of the reproductive system and breasts.
A gynaecologist is a doctor who specialises in women’s health. They strive to prevent diseases of the vagina, uterus, ovaries and breasts but can also treat and heal diseases when they occur.
Common diseases your gynaecologist provides care for include abnormal vaginal, menstrual or urinary bleeding, infections, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and cancers of the reproductive tract, among others.
Moreover, your gynaecologist can also assist with family planning, vaginal repair, conditions like menopause or osteoporosis, and more.

The health of your reproductive system is of paramount importance because it affects your ability to foster children and lead a productive and active lifestyle.
Therefore, the South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SASOG) recommends regular gynaecological evaluations from age 15. However, many women, especially adolescent women, feel nervous, embarrassed, or even fearful about visiting a gynaecologist.
You don’t want to trust just anyone with the most sensitive parts of your body or your personal and sensitive health issues. That’s why you need to think carefully about choosing a gynaecologist.
Dr Geyser started practising gynaecology in 1999. He has extensive experience managing women’s health concerns and procedures with expert, compassionate care. Moreover, Dr Geyser is a member of SASOG and regularly attends courses and seminars to stay current with the ever-advancing science of Medicine.
If you feel anxious or shy, you can meet or talk with Dr Geyser before scheduling a gynaecological evaluation.

Three step process to maintaining your reproductive health or diagnosing a disease:
Make an appointment for a gynaecological evaluation or private consultation.
General health check and physical exam which includes a Pap test and any other tests as necessary in your case. Or, only a private consultation to discuss your concerns.
If your tests return normal, no treatment will be required. When a problem is present, medication or a surgical procedure will likely be prescribed during a follow-up visit.
